Rachel Wyatt
Rachel Wyatt, Nia Blue Belt teacher, has cultivated her love of dance since she was a child, starting with tap, ballet and jazz and adding in modern dance along the way, she deepened her practice of finding the joy of movement and body awareness over the past 25 years. The addition of yoga and Judo brought a further richness (and sometimes ferocity!) to her experience. When she found Nia in 2000, it fit like a glove. . .after the initial struggle from not focusing on what her dance "looked" like versus what it "felt" like. Rachel is an authentic, spirited dancer who's dynamic expression and love of movement is the cornerstone of her teaching. A strong focus on anatomy, imagery as well as the intense connection between the body, mind, spirit and emotions allow her students to connect with themselves and each other in an intuitive and intimate way. The creativity in her dance is fueled by and fuel for her work as a graphic designer and creative director for arts organizations, non-profits, publications, and small businesses. |
